What is sport performance video analysis?

Since 2008, Nacsport has been developing and marketing video analysis software for all kinds of athletes and coaches, from top level organisations to inexperienced analysts, with more than 4,000 licenses sold throughout the world.

NACSPORT BASIC

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

 

 

Register your event in two different ways:

(1) live (real time),
(2) from a video file
 

 Formats: capture, playback and making videos

Capture in AVI and MP4. Work with any of these playback formats (AVI, WMV, MOV, MPEG, MPG, MOD, M2V, MTS, M2TS, MP4, FLV, MKV, M4V, TS) and make videos in other five formats (AVI, MPEG2, FLV, M4V, MP4).

Up to three “jump” options in playback

Users will be able to customise up to three different options of “jump” times to move forward and backwards along the video with different key combinations.

Rating registers

Rate your registers from 1 to 5. With these ratings applied, it is possible to order or filter registers in the timeline for specific viewing. Users can even modify these ratings in the timeline.

Timeline to edit all the registered actions

All the versions of Nacsport have a timeline clearly showing what occurred in an event. All the recorded actions can be easily adjusted and reviewed. The timeline provides a working environment which optimises the time spent on analysis, so you can easily lengthen or shorten actions, delete, duplicate, change information, add new categories (rows), change names and more. The timeline is the most important tool for working with your recorded actions.

 Print or export reports to MS Excel® or PDF

You can export in two ready to present formats: registers ordered chronologically or ordered by category with totals of information included. You can also export different XLS format files for deeper statistical analysis in Excel for example.

 

 

 Categories template (25 buttons)

The categories template is a window in which you create buttons for each item you want to analyse. You can create up to 25 categories buttons for a single template.


 Insert text notes

Supplement your registers with extra information by adding text notes.

 

Insert drawings into your registers

Add drawings to your registers, either made by you or from imported drawings.  

 

 

 

Compare up to 8 actions

Compare up to 8 different video clips from the timeline simultaneously. You can also draw onto these comparisons.

 

 

 Create presentations with action lists

Select your top actions from your timelines to share them with others, by organising them into lists according to your criteria. You can show your presentations both from the software or by producing a video with your analysis. 

 

Tools to edit registers in a presentation

New tools allow you to edit and move registers within your presentation. Drag & drop registers from one list to another to copy it or hold the Ctrl key and drag & drop to cut and paste from one list to another.

 

Dashboard Tool

Create a dashboard with unlimited charts and labels with data taken from one game.  Combine data in different types of charts. Add data labels. Check data for specific periods of an event from the timeline.

NACSPORT SCOUT PLUS

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

 

Nacsport Scout Plus Unlimited: you can upgrade your current Nacsport Scout Plus to "Unlimited" in order to add more than 5 videos on the presentations.

Register your event in three different ways:

(1) live (real time),
(2) from a video file
(3) without video source (by synchronising the event with your registers in a later stage).

OBSERVATION AND DATA COLLECTION

 Categories template (unlimited buttons in two hierarchical levels)

The categories template is a window in which you create buttons for each item you want to analyse, under two different levels: primary level (categories) and secondary level (descriptor). Descriptors are created to describe a category. You can create as many buttons as you wish.

Example: “Shots (category) in first period (descriptor)” or “Passes (category) made from the right side (descriptor)”.

Excluding categories
 

For actions mutually excluded by nature. When a button is activated, the others cannot be active (selected category buttons must be in manual mode first).

Example: Possession (Possession A, Possession B and No Possession). When “Possession A” is marked, “Possession B” and “No Possession” will be automatically unmarked and visa versa.

 Create buttons with different shapes

Customise your template with buttons of different shapes: squares (by default), polygons, circles or irregular shapes (drawn by user).

 

 Independent descriptor window (single window)

Create a window that is separate to the main template to include different descriptors. With this window, you will be able to create a secondary list of your opponent’s squad names for example.

 

 Insert text notes

Supplement your registers with extra information by adding text notes.

Add drawings to your registers, either made by you or from imported drawings.

 
 Real time export to  MS Excel®

Generate a MS Excel® (XLS) file during the register which will include all the actions being registered. This file can be consulted at any time by external applications.


Rating registers

Rate your registers from 1 to 5. With these ratings applied, it is possible to order or filter registers in the timeline for specific viewing. Users can even modify these ratings in the timeline.

Advanced independent text notes during observation

While observing a video, you will be able to add independent text notes (not linked to any register). You can customise notes and divide them into groups or associate them to categories from your template.

 WORK WITH YOUR DATA (TIMELINE)

 

Multiple data matrix (using up to 5 videos)

Create a data matrix with the registers from different timelines and up to a maximum of 5 different video timelines.

Example: A data matrix from the last 5 games.

  

Link two video files to a same data base

Analyse your event by attaching two video files to a single database so you can select your choice of individual or simultaneous side-by-side views.

Example: A video from the TV broadcast and another video from your own camera.

 

 

Use unlimited databases for the same video

A single video can be analysed as many times as you wish. These databases can then be opened in a tab style format for your selected video in the timeline.

Example: Different members of staff have made diffferent analyses on the same game. This tool allows you to have them all open in the same environment to extract a selection of clips/data from them.

 

 

Combine two timelines from a same video together

Fuse registers from two different analyses into a single database.

Example: A staff member has analysed offensive actions and the other has analysed defensive actions for a game. When combining them, you will create a new single database with the whole analysis of that event.

Dashboard Tool

Create unlimited dashboards with unlimited charts and labels with data taken from one game.  Open up only one dashboard at a time. Combine data in different types of charts. Add data labels. Create alerts. Check data for specific periods of an event in real time or from the timeline. Share yourdashboards in real time viaa network.

 

PRESENT YOUR WORK

 

 Create presentations with action lists (up to 5 videos)

Select your top actions from your timelines to share them with others, by organising them into lists according to your criteria. You can show your presentations both from the software or by producing a video with your analysis. You will be able to choose from up to 5 different video timelines.

 Use up to 5 videos and unlimited databases in presentations

You can select the actions to be included in your presentations from up to 5 different video timelines but unlimited databases.

 

Data matrix in the presentation

Create a matrix with data from the actions included in a selected list of the presentation window.

 

Add external audio into the lists within your presentation

Include an external audio file into your presentation: your own recording, music or any other audio file.

 

Tools to edit registers in a presentation
